First thousand files of IND's backlog processed

 

As we speak, IND staff have processed around 1000 files of the 'old stock' of asylum cases in the past two months (reference date 1 April). The aim for the task force is to process over 14,000 overdue asylum applications by the end of this year, even though the consequences of the corona crisis have to be taken into consideration. To achieve this, a lot must still be done in the upcoming months. Today, minister Broekers-Knol of Justice and Security explained the tasks and progress of the task force to the House of Representatives...
